Middle School and 6th Grade Summer Workout Schedule
I want everybody to know the schedule for the summer. There are 3 things I want you to be aware of.
1. Strength & Conditioning Camp – Craig Lawson (certified & very experienced strength & conditioning coach) will conduct strength, power, and endurance development from 10:00 AM-12:00 PM for 7th-9th grade athletes on June 11th-15th & June 18th – 22nd. The cost is $125 per week. You can attend one or both weeks. I highly recommend you attend at least one of the weeks if affordable for you. Just show up and pay on the first day.
2. Summer Workouts – beginning on June 25th the MS (that includes 6th Grade) team will be working out in the weight room from 1:00 – 2:00 PM on Monday, Wednesday, & Friday. The dates are on the calendar HERE. The workouts are free. All workouts will be conducted by a staff of certified strength & conditioning coaches. Calvary has made a commitment to Overall athletic nutrition, strength, preparation, & performance of all CCA athletes. This is the beginning of that program. If you are in town, your son should be there.
3. 7 on 7 & Skill position drills – All Quarterbacks, Running Backs, Receivers, Defensive Backs, & Linebackers are welcome to attend. The dates & times are on the calendar. Coaches will be conducting these sessions and most of them will be in conjunction with their workout days. We will be providing Gatorade and a protein bar after their workouts and before their skills & 7 on 7 training.
